Most important element of electronic interaction - interaction with citizens
The discussion Information Technologies in Enforcement Proceeding took place at the VII Petersburg International Forum and was attended by director of the Russian Federal Bailiffs Service Dmitry Aristov.
The speakers at the event were: Chief Judicial Officer of Belorussia Dmitry Kovalenko, Deputy Chair of the RF Supreme Court Tatyana Petrova, President of the Estonia’s board of the Assembly of the judicial officers Janek Pool, judicial officer of the Netherlands, secretary of the International Union of Judicial Officers Adrianus Uitdehaag and head of Civil Procedure Department at the Ural State Law University Vladimir Yarkov.
The participants shared practices and ideas of using information technologies in enforcement proceedings. Mr. Aristov spoke about the results the Federal Bailiffs Service had achieved in the area and what other projects were going to be implemented.
One of the tasks the Service has at present is to pass on to electronic document management with courts and major enforcers. However, the most important element is still interaction with the public. The work done in this area is impressive. In 2016, the enforcement proceedings database available at the FBS website had 88 million visitors. Over the first quarter of 2017, the service was provided 27 million times. According to the Director of the Federal Bailiffs Service, using IT to notify debtors about enforcement proceedings is perfectly reasonable as it lifts part of workload from judicial officers.
